West Georgia Unitarian Universalists

Welcome

...to the website of West Georgia Unitarian Universalists, Inc.

We are calling into being a spiritual community and building a Unitarian Universalist congregation of open-minded people from diverse faiths and beliefs to explore life’s great questions and to work for the betterment of our community. WGUU celebrates the worth of all individuals and welcomes all who seek a greater understanding of our world to help us build a diverse, supportive congregation committed to the spiritual growth of our community and its members.

While we are not yet officially associated with the Unitarian Universalist Association, we believe in the fundamental principles of the UUA and plan to apply for membership in the UUA.

We typically meet on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month in the parish hall of St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church in Carrollton for a lay-led spiritual service incorporating some UU rituals as well as an open discussion of the subject. Generally, we do have childcare available for these services. We also meet on the 4th Saturday of each month for a casual Brews & Views social event. Brews & Views is held at varying local watering holes.

Please note that, while we are greatly appreciative of St. Margaret’s hospitality and generosity, we are in no way associated with St. Margaret’s or the Episcopal Church.

We welcome anyone interested in our group to contact us via email, click the button below to sign up for our email newsletter, or simply join us for any of our meetings. Up-to-date information on our events is available on our Facebook page.
